On Melamine content products

This melamine content products are really scary. Even though we know that kidney failure will not only result from taking melamine, we still need to be aware of what are the products that are being tested that might have melamine in them. I have read and heard on news that there are already products that are already tested and proven to have melamine content in them.

But I am curious to what are these products are since I love to eat almost anything edible. I did a search on the internet and some of the products that are proven to have melamine content are White Rabbit and a Koala cookie from Lotte. I love to eat both of those and after knowing that they have melamine, I don't think so I can eat those again even though Department of Health (DOH) said that it will take 15 cups of milk with melamine content everyday for several months for an adult to have kidney problems due to intake of melamine. For an infant, it is risky because they drink lots of milk since that is where they get their daily nutrients even if it will take 2 cups of milk with melamine content everyday for several months. Countries all over the world are now testing and making lab examinations on all their dairy products. Milk Products from New Zealand and Australia are safe to take.

Here are the products that are currently being tested for melamine content at the Bureau of Food and Drug (BFAD). Again this is the partial list of milk and other milk products undergoing testing for possible melamine contamination.

Confuse... Bothered... Waiting

Who am I to you?
What am I to you?
Do I have to ask these questions often for me not to confuse myself?
Is it a protocol to ask you these questions whenever I speak with you?
I know that we are bestfriends
And sometimes you have your hang ups, raves and rants
But if we are bestfriends
Do I at least get a warning when you have hang ups?
You get to cut our communication when you have a problem
I tried to get in touch with you but your closing the lines
I understand what you meant last time when you are confuse and have problems
But do I at least get a hint that you have rants?
I understand why you are like this
I know your afraid that you might end up losing another friend
You told me before that you give your all when it comes to friends
But still you end up losing them and they leave you
What I can guarantee you is that you will not lose me
You will have me as your bestfriend no matter what
I'll wait for the time that you will open the lines again
I won't get tired and pray for you my bestfriend... missing you...

I.T.A.L.Y (I Trust and Love You) the movie

I don't really watch a lot of tagalog or Filipino films. I'm not criticizing them nor telling you that they are not good films, it's just that I grew up watching foreign films. I'm picky when it comes to watching tagalog films. In particular, what drew me to watch this movie is the story itself and the places where the movie was shot. I find Europe an interesting place. France, Italy, Spain are the places I wanted to visit but unfortunately, I haven't got the chance to. The story of this movie is basically created and written from the experiences of our OFW's (Overseas Filipino Workers). I'm not an OFW myself but I got friends who are and I salute them for their hardwork.

The story evolves on the lives of Jolina Magdangal as Destiny, Dennis Trillo as Paolo, Ruffa Mae Quinto as Stella, Eugene Domingo as Lovely, Mark Herras as Nathan and Rhian Ramos as Phoebe. I won't go into details about the movie but these people all met aboard the Costa Magica cruise ship and their individual life stories starts there. The cruise ship brings them to their life's journey and not knowing which dock they will go to. I got to know the movie more and it's behind the scenes when I read the blog of
Jolina Magdangal last May of this year and then I followed reading it until the movie is set to be shown in the cinema. The places and scenery where the movie was shot is really breath taking. Plus the life story of the characters and in addition to that what amazes me is knowing that 70% of the crew on the Costa Magica are all Filipinos! You will see the Filipino crew on the movie too. Here is the full trailer of the move.

I suggest that you watch the movie on wide screen to better view the places. Enjoy watching!

Mon Hobby... le manquant

It's been awhile... My blood pressure went up so I had to take a rest. I miss doing the things that I usual do at least thrice or twice a week. Currently, weather here in the Philippines is not that good. Sometimes it rains all morning and then in the afternoon the sun shines brightly and vice-versa. I miss doing my hobby. Exercise it good for the body. Sweating refreshes me and 1 to 2 liters of water a day, that would keep me on my feet. When I sweat I feel that I am being relieved from unwanted toxins inside my body.

As I came home from work and sit down on my bed, I looked at my tennis gear. I thought I can play lawn tennis this morning after work but it rained again. I miss the sound of the tennis ball hitting my tennis racket. The rhythm and sound echoing on the tennis court. I grabbed my tennis bag and checked on my tennis racket. When can I play lawn tennis again. This is my stress buster buddy, my tennis racket. It's a
2008 Head ATP pro limited edition.

It's light weight head gives me absolute control and power when striking the ball. The grip is made of light weight material so it's easy to hit the ball. It's made up of Liquid Metal. The revolution begins with a new material never before used in modern racket design: Liquidmetal®. HEAD revolutionizes tennis once again. With Liquidmetal the game will change in every respect. Benefits are enhanced by the Total Sweetspot Construction, NoShox Dampening System and Integrated String Dampener.

The Liquidmetal material is applied to four strategic areas of the racquet's head and is the only material that utilizes all the energy your swing generates. Due to its liquid atomic structure, no energy is lost on ball impact. The secret of Liquidmetal’s performance is its liquid atomic structure. Compared to conventional metals, it offers advantages that are far beyond today’s racket technology. The unique Liquidmetal atomic structure does not deform on impact, resulting in ultimate energy return.

Titanium: Standard atomic structure deforms on impact, causing extreme energy loss.

The benefit to every player: 29% more power
The unique Liquidmetal atomic structure is 2 1/2 times stronger than titanium and delivers 29% more power.

Why? Liquidmetal technology efficiently utilizes the pure energy of ball impact, making the full energy available for maximum power return. Liquidmetal® - Pure Energy. Perfect Power.™

Total Sweetspot Construction (TSC) helps for ultimate performance.Through its innovative corrugated structure, Total Sweetspot Construction increases torsional stability in the racket head. Corrugation enhances surface rigidity for optimum strength and stiffness under pressure. Flat surfaces show significantly less rigidity and strength. Total Sweetspot Construction (TSC) extends the sweetspot throughout the entire racket head resulting in ultimate control. Now every shot feels like you’ve hit the sweetspot.

That's how the Head Liquidmetal technology works. For more information you may visit Head.

First "Ber" month

Well, it's the first "Ber" of the month and I am already hearing Christmas carols playing over the radio. How time flies. It's just like it was the New Year as the year 2008 begins. It is 114 days to go before Christmas Day but I can't feel the Christmas fill the air yet. As the month of September is here, I remember one song not only because of the title itself but I remember during my internship days in one of the public secondary schools here in our city, I taught ballroom dancing and this is the song I used. The song is getty and will make you dance and stomp to the beat. Listen to the music and it might bring you back memories. I like to swing with this song...
Earth, Wind and Fire
Do you remember the 21st night of September?
Love was changing the minds of pretenders
While chasing the clouds away
Our hearts were ringing
In the key that our souls were singing.
As we danced in the night,
Remember how the stars stole the night away
Ba de ya - say do you remember
Ba de ya - dancing in September
Ba de ya - never was a cloudy day
My thoughts are with you
Holding hands with your heart to see you
Only blue talk and love,
Remember how we knew love was here to stay
Now December found the love that we shared in September.
Only blue talk and love,
Remember the true love we share today
Ba de ya - say do you remember
Ba de ya - dancing in September
Ba de ya - never was a cloudy day
Ba de ya - say do you remember
Ba de ya - dancing in September
Ba de ya - golden dreams were shiny days
Now our bell was ringing, aha
Our souls were singing.
Do you remember every cloudy day - yau !
There was a
Ba de ya - say do you remember
Ba de ya - dancing in September
Ba de ya - never was a cloudy day.......
there was a
Ba de ya - say do you remember
Ba de ya - dancing in September
Ba de ya - golden dreams were shiny days
