Toys and Collectibles

This is the toy and collectibles exhibit that I am referring to on my post July 8. Young, old and young at heart gathered to see the exhibits. There were lots of people at the Event Center of SM City Clark, Angeles City, Philippines. I remember when I was a kid, I keep a toy collections of G.I. Joe's, matchbox and little toy soldiers with battle tanks and some Ghostbuster action figures. I don't know where I have put those now. Here are some of the toys and collectibles I have taken at the exhibit last month. Sorry I don't have a high end camera for some of the photos are a bit dark and blur.

Yes, Captain Barbell has it's own action figure. Captain Barbell is our local super hero here in the Philippines. He is like Superman.

There you go. Those are some of the action figures at the exhibit. There are also NBA players, characters from Disney like Lion King, Disney Princesses, Tarzan, and much more. I can't get photos of all the action figures at the exhibit because kids all around me especially those who are near the toys won't budge, LOLz!

I have been busy for the past weeks, 2 weeks I think. Well, I just had to stop for awhile and take my eyes off the internet and went back to watching TV and getting more sleep. I really had to take time out from the internet world and go back to basics. I was missing so much that's why I haven't updated my blog lately. Sorry guys and gals.

Last June 24, I was one of the lucky employees of our company who went to attend our General Assembly. Why lucky you asked? Because our company decided to set our General Assembly at the SM Cinema, SM City Clark and at the same time treat us to a popcorn and soda to watch the first showing day of Transformers II: Revenge of the Fallen. Well, there are many who wanted to watch the first screening day of the movie and many are in line to get movie tickets to catch the movie on it's first day. For me and my colleauges, no need to go in line and buy tickets for our company already have seats for us plus bucket of popcorn and one big soda to enjoy. Everyone is excited to watch the movie after our site director of our company gave us a heads up on what to expect with regards to our work. The movie somewhat relates to us because we are in the transformation or transforming stage of our company. What is that you asked? Well, can't tell you, it's a secret hehehe. We just enjoyed the movie.



I like part 2 better than the first one because they inject some humor, humor that made me laughed and almost choked from the popcorn I was eating hehehe. After the movie, there are some transformers action figures on display at the entertainment center of SM City. And here are some of the action figures (some of the photos are a bit blurry. I don't have a high end camera).























These action figures are owned by the members of the Pampanga Toy Collectors Club (PTCC). They also had a toy and collectibles exhibit last Father's Day at SM City Clark. I will post some of the photos I took at the exhibit on my next blog. I hope there will be a part 3 transformers movie.The movie is still showing and I'll watch it again.

Recently I had attended an event where in the dress code includes wearing a tie. The last time I wore a tie was last August 2008. I forgot how to tie my tie LOLz! It took me 15 minutes and more in figuring out how to tie it properly. My sister tried to help but she couldn't figure it out too how to tie it and my mother came and tried it too, LOLz! Well my brother hadn't tried to wear a tie before so he too don't know how.

It is difficult to find help in tying your neck tie especially if no one in your household wears it and then your in a hurry to leave. I know some of you do not know how to tie your neck tie and you wish to know how to do it yourself. Even if it's too late for me, I searched the net to get a step by step guide on how to tie a neck tie so that next time I forget again, I can easily check on my blog. Here is the video I found,

I am really into Superman stuffs. I love to collect them. When I see a new superman stuff that I don't have yet, I'll grab one because I might not see it the next time I come back to the place where I saw it. Everyone is excited, ecstatic and ready to hit the movie houses or cinemas to catch the TWILIGHT. Are you ready to see it?! Go! Go! Go! But be careful =)

Thirst Quencher

Whew! It's really hot hot outside. It seems like summer, right? It was only 8am but the heat of the morning sun seems like to already 12 noon. It really makes you thirsty and you wish you can stay in an air conditioned room all day. Others get headaches, cough and runny nose because of the changing weather everyday. You cannot predict it. Climate here in Philippines really have changed and not only here. It's alarming that the big glacier in Iceland are starting to melt one by one. If all of those melts, most of our lands will be covered with water. I just remembered the Bible story of Noah's Ark. I think before that happens we must do something.

We must consume a minimum of 2 liters of water everyday are more especially with this kind of heat. 60% of our body is compose of water. When we sweat and urinate, we lose water. So it is advisable to take plenty of water when you sweat a lot and when you always go to the comfort room to urinate. Drinking water will replace the body fluids that we lose. I myself makes it a daily habit to atleast consume 2 liters of water. That's why I bring along my tumbler when I am at work.








Cool tumbler huh! Makes me wanna drink plenty of water to refresh me.

Also to keep me awake at work because I am on a night shift. I need to drink coffee. But I think I am already immune to coffee. I'm still sleepy after I drank coffee geezzz! Anyway, I love my coffee cold especially during these hot temperature. So I bring with me too my coffee mug.



Well aside from those are my drinking glasses, those are also part of my superman collections.
So what are you waiting for, be sure that you drink 2 liters of water daily and it's good for your health.

Vintage...

Before I went to work, I heard on the news that the Inflation Rate of the Philippines went down for September to 11.9% from 12.7% last August. This is because of the easing prices particularly in food and petroleum products. Hmmm... But how come commodity prices aren't lowering yet? Why is it that when dollar rate goes high, prices goes high BUT when dollar rate went low, prices stays the same. Lucky for us, we are not having the same crisis as what United States (no offense to my American friends) is currently experiencing right now. I'm crossing my fingers that we don't get the same experience. They say that we will see lower inflation rate in the first quarter of 2009, I hope so. This is what I call Vintage issue.

Due to the fact that prices are going high as I have mentioned in my previous blog, we need some alternatives. My father, brother and I decided that we get back to biking since transportation fare especially tricycle fare is getting too high even if you are just going to a near place. I see more people now riding their bikes going to work or just going to the market. That is why I'm seeing different kinds of bikes and some amazes me. It's like bringing me back to the old days. So my brother and I decided to restore an old bike that our late grandfather handed to our father. In some places here in the Philippines, the old bikes or what I call Vintage bikes are popular now that transportation fare is high. Biking is good for our body. Here is the restored bike that I am referring to. It's a bit dirty because my brother went out for a spin. I forgot to take the photo of how it looks like before we restored it.

Tattoo.. Tattooed..

My sister and I are planning on getting henna tattoos. Yeah I know... Your thinking why don't we get the real ones. Even if we wanted to, in the industry we belong to, we cannot have permanent tattoos.

A year ago or 2 years ago, I got a Henna Tattoo and it stayed on my arm for about 2 to 3 weeks. This is the henna tattoo I had,



Yeah Tribal design. Love it! I want to have another one somewhat tribal too. I got muscles during those times LOL! Others say tattoos are not decent to look at on a person. Well, that depends on how one carries it. One time I was watching Ripley's believe it or not, there was this son that when his father died he literally framed the skin of his father and put it up in his cafe. This is to keep his father's legacy alive. His father's body is covered with tattoos.

How about you, are you willing to have a tattoo on your body? If yes, what design you will have?

Les Collections de Bonnets et de Bonnets

When it's cold or hot outside, I simply wear one of my caps or bonnets to help feel comfortable. That depends on the weather, if it is hot or cold. They say wearing too much of a cap or bonnet will make a person bald, I believe in that. I don't wear my caps or bonnets often, only if I need to wear one or it would make match on the outfit I'll be wearing. I'm not a fashionable person or a trendy one but I like collecting caps or bonnet because they keep me warm and protect me from the rays of sunlight. One more thing, don't ever ever wear a cap or bonnet if you have a wet hair, or else, you'll have a stinky hair or head, LOL! Here are some of my collections,
